Eucalyptus smells cool, clean, and clearing, with a fresh, slightly medicinal sharpness. The sensation comes from 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), a light molecule that triggers the same cold receptor as menthol, so eucalyptus reads as cooling without changing temperature. The science
