Our Candle Ingredients

Infinitely Recyclable Aluminum

Because you shouldn't have create waste when your candle is finished.

Our candles are poured in one of the most recyclable, and commonly recycled materials available - aluminum. Just recycle your refills with your cans when you're done burning.

Engineered with Intention

Aluminum is the third most abundant element, comprising about 8% of the Earth’s crust, and is infinitely recyclable making it one of the most sustainable packaging materials available. So recycle those cans (and candles)!
Laser etched to eliminate paper and plastic

Instead of traditional labels, or even environmentally friendly labels, we decided to just eliminate them altogether - with lasers.

Welded, aluminum wick clips to eliminate glue

'Off-the-shelf' wick clips are usually steel, so we had to make our own to guarantee our refill containers are 100% aluminum. They're also usually glued in place, so we decided to weld them instead to eliminate the glue.

Smelting takes care of any remaining wax

The melting of recycled aluminum typically occurs at 1,300 to 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit (approx. 704 to 760 degrees Celsius), incinerating any wax that was left over, leaving only pure aluminum to be recycled into new products.

Sustainability

We chose aluminum because it can be recycled easily and indefinitely. About 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today, making it one of the most recycled materials!

Aluminum also generally has a higher scrap value compared to other commonly recycled materials like plastic or paper, making it more likely to be recycled.

Finally, and most impressively - aluminum can be recycled and back on store shelves as new containers in as little as 60 days! That's an efficient supply chain.
